COMMUNITY MANAGER

Midwinter is looking for a resourceful and enthusiastic Community Manager to join our team located in the Seattle Area. As a small, independent games studio, we are seeking a leader to help us cultivate a thriving community around Midwinter and our first title, Scavengers.

As a Community Manager, you will partner directly with various teams inside and outside of Midwinter. You will help define, plan and execute programs and activities to engage our community, understand their diverse perspectives and ensure they are represented in our team’s work. The ideal Community Manager would have a deep understanding of the social platforms and channels that matter most to players, as well as the landscape of streaming and influencer outreach trends. We are looking for someone who embodies core traits such as positivity, empathy, honesty and collaborative spirit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a strategic vision for the future of our community, helping plan and execute to bring this vision to life.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to create high quality user experiences inside and outside of our games.
  • Create an effective two-way conversation between players and the studio.
  • Oversee the moderation of official channels.
  • Help develop, maintain and execute community engagement plans and calendars.
  • Capture, analyze and communicate community sentiment to the studio.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years professional experience working in mobile or social games, interactive entertainment, digital/social media, community/content management, and/or online gaming.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to speak publicly on behalf of the studio and our game(s) with an authentic voice.
  • Possess a passion for the effective cultivation and management of virtual societies.
